What to bring:
Think of your hobbies, sports, cheer, band, anything you love. Bring along any props you like that help tell your story and so we can add them to your shoot. Items may include: motorcycle, cowboy hat, uniforms, sports equipment, awards, musical instruments, pets, snow board, Bible, dance wear and anything else that is important to you!
What to wear:
Be sure to take time to plan what you are going to wear for your portraits. Here are a few tips to help you decide what to wear at your photo shoot. Planning ahead and thinking this through will truly give you better results!
Earth tones look fantastic in portraits! Browns and darker colors are what we typically prefer. We also prefer long sleeves over short sleeves. The reason is simple. We want the attention to be on your face, and the long sleeves help eliminate distractions created by bare arms.
When viewing a photograph, your eye goes to the darkest part of a “light” image and the lightest part of a “dark” image. If we are taking pictures outdoors and you are wearing light colored clothing, the eye will generally go to the clothing before it goes to the face. The light clothing competes for that attention!
We'll give you plenty of time when we shoot your portraits. This will give you ample time to do a couple of wardrobe changes, allowing us to get multiple looks.
